Nutrition and dogs health
Most people now feed their dogs prepackaged dog food. The problem is that they are totally reliant on whether the manufacturer has prepared a balanced diet with their product. Dog health care is very much influenced by what is fed. An imbalanced diet can lead to all sorts of health and behavioral problems.
Dog diseases
Good dog health care can prevent many of the common diseases that dogs come down with.
Viral diseases like rabies, canine distemper, parvo, hepatitis, coronavirus and parainfluenza can be prevented by a simple vaccination. Lyme disease, leptospirosis, and some kennel coughs are bacterial infections, and they can also be prevented with vaccinations of puppies and dogs. Some vaccinations are needed on a yearly basis, while others will last a lifetime.
Parasites and your dog
External parasites include fleas, ticks, lice and mites, while internal parasites include the various worms and microscopic bugs like protocoa, and they're generally controlled with drugs administered on a monthly basis.
